My Trip To Japan
I can write the whole day. But I am afraid I might BORED you all…
Well I went to Japan with my mum and brother. My mum was on a business trip there while me and my brother followed her for a holiday.
We took a plane from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur which took 1 hour and 45minutes. And transited from KLIA to Narita. We were in KLIA for at least 3 hours so we walk around the airport for 2 and a half hour. We board the plane at about 11.10pm.
In the Plane
The plane we were using was a Boeing 727-200 which was quite big and comfortable. It was a cosy flight. We could stretch our legs and body just to circulate our blood around our body since it was a long flight. The plane took off at 11.40pm and arrived Narita at 7.05am. So the flight took 6 hours from KLIA to Narita. I wasn’t bored on the plane as there were Mini TV’s every seat andi played games and watched a Japanese movie titled “Cats”. They also serve us supper, snacks and breakfast. I did not sleep thought I guess I was to excited to go to Japan.
Narita Airport
Well, as usual we have to go through immigration check point and collect our luggage and go through another luggage check point counter. Out side the terminal Mr Nimura who is my mum’s business partner was waiting for us at the arriving hall. He welcome us with a Big Smile on his face. I notice in the airport people in Japan greet each other by bowing to each other and I found it funny if you do that in Malaysia but I guess it is just their culture. Wish we were that humble.
Leaving Narita
Using Train was the best way to Tokyo which cost 2740yen(RM103) per person. The Airport is located 70KM away from Tokyo. If we had took the taxi instead it will cost about 27000yen(RM1000). So its much cheaper to take a train.
Arrive Tokyo
After the hour train ride we went from the station to the hotel (Garden Palace Hotel) using a taxi which cost 1220yen(RM46.36). The taxi in Japan is different because as soon as you get on the taxi we would have to pay 640yen(RM24.92). After arriving the Hotel which was less than probably 1km away from the station we check-in our luggage. We cant’s get into the room just yet because check-in time was only at 12.00pm. so we went for a walk while waiting for the time to pass. Lucky for us the shopping area was just across the river about a couple of meter away from the hotel. The temperature at that time was 13C which wasn’t so bad.
Out the hotel
I notice people in Japan walk really fast. And people there greet each other by bowing to each other which I find pretty pleasant. We saw a huge church out of the middle of the city. It was huge and the architecture was just amazing. It was just beautiful. The food in Japan is good and the presentation is absolutely impressing. I think the presentation makes the food worth buying but it makes you think twice before eating it. You just feel like framing it up on the wall. We bought a street side food sold in a mini van. It cost 380yen (RM14.50). Its in a nice container and the food was decorated and it was colourful. It consist or sticky rice, fried fish, fish ball, macaroni and pickled ginger. A can of drink cost about 120yen(RM4.70). Stuff there is really expensive. After buying our food we went back to the hotel. We were pretty tired as we walked for at least 3hours. . we took a nice warm shower and took a nap till 6.00pm. I did not really sleep but I watch TV. There were 12 channels but all of the channels were all in Japanese.
Dinner Time
We went to a restaurant for dinner that night and the food was pretty good it was a Japanese style steamboat. Which cost 3465yen(RM131.73) perperson. Which was quite expensive. I think it was expensive because of the deep water fish which were the popular dish. We had to wait for and hour in line just to eat in this restaurant the restaurant is called E-Sey-Gey its pronounce that way.
One day spending
Tokyo was so expensive that it cost about 10025yen(RM380)(US$100) just in one day and I did not even buy anything. The transportation and the food was the expensive part. And I haven’t even added the Hotel fee which cost RM1200 per night. And it was just a small room.
